Parks and Recreation

Welcome to theManila Recreation Program!  The Manila Recreation Program offers a safe place for children to spend time after school and throughout the summer while learning and having fun.  Our program provides mentoring, snacks, tutoring from HSU volunteers, monthly goal setting, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, sports, swimming and the encouragement children need to succeed in life.  Throughout the summer we offer full day recreation with backpacking, rock climbing, beach outings, weekly field trips and week long campouts for youth and teens as well as academic activities to continue the learning process year round.

While providing all of these fun and educational activities, the Manila Recreation Program strives to enrich childrens lives by giving quality care for all.  We provide the environment necessary to accommodate children's interests while encouraging self-esteem, positive social skills and self-control.  We provide as many different activities and ideas as we can to show children the different possibilities in life they may not have already been exposed to.

The Manila Recreation Program encourages parent involvement in the program and we believe that it is necessary to provide the best care possible.  Feel free to drop in any time to see what we are doing and provide any ideas or input.  You know your children better than we do and we would love to hear your insight on their ideal recreational situations.
